Irish Battlefied to be Better Protected

Minister for the Environment, Dick Roche, is to launch a study of at least 75 Battlefields around the country with a view to establishing clear criteria for their protection under the National Monuments Acts. 

Vinegar Hill, Enniscorthy is the only battlefield in County Wexford which will be included in the study and recommendations will be submitted with regard to developments for the area.
